The BOOST products turbocharger oil filter kit consists of two adapters, allowing you to adapt either male to male or female to male. A big advantage if, for example, an oil feed line is already in place.

A turbocharger oil feed filter is an important part of a turbo system. Its main job is to filter the oil before it reaches the turbocharger. This removes contaminants such as dirt particles, metal swarf or deposits from the oil to ensure optimum performance and service life of the turbocharger. The filter consists of an aluminium housing and a stainless steel filter element. The housing is designed to route the oil through the filter element while contaminants are retained. The filter element itself is made of stainless steel, which offers high filtration efficiency.
It is important to service and check the turbocharger oil feed filter regularly to make sure it is working properly. It is recommended to clean or replace the filter regularly to ensure optimum filtration performance. This can vary depending on the vehicle model and frequency of use.
We supply the oil filter with three different micron stainless steel filters: 30, 80 and 150.
The effectiveness of the oil feed filter is often stated by its micron rating. The micron rating indicates how small the particles are that the filter can effectively retain. The lower the micron rating, the smaller the particles the filter can remove. The viscosity of the oil also plays an important role in which micron rating should be fitted. However, a finer filter with a lower micron rating can restrict oil flow. This can impair lubrication and ultimately damage the turbocharger. It is therefore important to find the right compromise between filtration efficiency and flow rate.
For low-viscosity oils we recommend the 30 micron filter; for high-viscosity oils the 150 micron filter can also be used.
