Item description For sale is a Mocal OT/1 remote oil thermostat with 1/2 inch (13mm) hose connections. The thermostat regulates the oil flow to the oil cooler and ensures that the engine oil reaches its optimum operating temperature more quickly. This evaporates condensation, fuel residues and other contaminants from the oil, which can help extend engine life. The Mocal oil thermostat opens the oil circuit to the oil cooler at approx. 80°C. This is the minimum temperature required to reliably remove contaminants from the engine oil. At the same time, it prevents cold oil from constantly flowing through the oil cooler and unnecessarily extending the warm-up phase. The housing is made of high-quality cast aluminium. Control is provided by a precise wax element (Waxstat) designed for reliable, long-lasting operation. Thanks to its low weight, the thermostat can be integrated directly into the oil lines.
